Changes

Let me apologize in advance for the rather shocking lack of editing done to the following photos. I don't currently have any photo editing programs on my laptop as my free trial of Photoshop has expired and I'm in a bit of a rush to post this before Peanut Butter Cup wakes up. Now on to the actual post!

So, this is how we started the day off . . . .

Note the 'flyaways,' ha ha.

And this is how we ended it . . . .

I'm off to find a tissue now. *sniffle*

The First Steps

Earlier this evening, Peanut Butter Cup took his very first steps! I wish I could say that I had videoed such a big event (or even just taken pictures!), but it all happened very suddenly and I didn't have any sort of camera near me at that moment.

That is okay though because I know he is going to keep taking those faltering steps now; gaining more and more confidence with each step. So, I have plenty of time to work on capturing this new season of his life . . . right?

I wonder how soon it will be before he is off and running now. Knowing how impatient he is to do everything on his own and how excited he gets when he sees other children running around, it probably won't be too long. Pray for me.

Ha ha! Just kidding!

Ho'omaluhia Botanical Garden -- July 4th

My boys :-)

The mountain ranges are so different here than back home!
Instead of squirrels here, we have Mongeese!!

One of My Favorite Pictures!

A couple of weeks after we arrived back on the island, we decided to go back to one of our favorite botanical gardens . . . I took lots of pictures while we were there and will have to post some in the near future, but one of my favorites from that day is of Peanut Butter Cup behind one of the HUGE Elephant Ear leaves.

Amazingly enough he smiled for the picture (and surprisingly didn't try to grab or bite the leaf like he typically would have, ha ha!).

Tooth Number 3 is in Sight!

I'm pretty sure I can see a little bit of Peanut Butter Cup's middle upper right tooth as of today. I'm not 100% sure as the little munchkin has a habit of never staying still long enough for me to get much more than a glimpse of what is happening in there, and he hasn't been too keen on me feeling in there due to his gums being sore. However, from the glimpses I did manage to get, it looked like the tooth was either starting to break through, or is getting very close to doing so!

Oh, a quick update on his sleeping pattern of late . . . I think it is mostly due to separation anxiety, along with discomfort from teething and other things. Some nights are better than others, while others are how I described them before. Most likely though, it is just Munchkin needing a little extra closeness to help him feel more safe and secure. Hopefully this stage won't last for a LONG time, but I will be there for him as long as he needs me. "This too shall pass . . . ."

Peanut Butter Cup tried Butternut Squash for the first time tonight and seemed to like it . . . I'm hoping to try avocados with him again in the near future, but I'm not sure when exactly that will take place. I have been working on restocking our freezer with homemade 'baby cubes' for the past couple of weeks. I still have a lot of fresh/frozen produce I need to steam/cook and freeze in the next few days, so hopefully Peanut Butter Cup will entertain himself long enough for me to get a lot done in the near future. :-)

Well, I should be heading to bed soon! Have a blessed day!
